$50,000 per year for up to two years
Eligibility
Must hold a relevant doctoral degree (PhD, DSc, MD, DO, etc.); Must be affiliated with a recognized academic or non-profit institution in the United States; Must be authorized to work in the United States; Must have a mentor with a demonstrated history of lung disease research and mentorship; Intended for investigators prior to receipt of career-development awards (e.g., NIH K08, K23, K99); Postdoctoral Fellows (PhD) and Medical Fellows seeking at least two years of mentored research training are eligible
Requirements
Applicants limited to one American Lung Association application per annual cycle; Grant can be awarded only once per applicant; Institutional Signing Official must certify employment for the full duration of the grant; No more than 75% of budget for salary/fringe benefits; No more than 30% of budget for permanent equipment; IACUC and IRB approvals required prior to award start
