Eligibility

Independent Researchers: Must possess a doctoral degree and hold a full-time faculty position.; Mentored Researchers: Must hold a relevant doctoral degree and be affiliated with a recognized academic or not-for-profit institution.; Mentored Researchers: Intended for early career investigators prior to completion of career development awards like NIH K08, K23, K99.; Must be authorized to work in the United States.; Medical residents and current degree program students are not eligible.

Requirements

Letter of Intent (LOI) submission via ProposalCentral by September 18, 2025.; Institutional Signing Official must certify employment for the full duration of the grant.; Applicants are limited to one American Lung Association application per annual cycle.; Mentored applicants require a letter of support from their mentor and two additional letters of support.
