Scientists and scholars from the listed developing countries are eligible to apply.; The list is based on the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the OECD.; The People's Republic of China and India are explicitly excluded from this list.; Scientists from Brazil may be nominated for the Georg Forster Research Award.; Researchers from Brazil are restricted to the Capes-Humboldt Research Fellowship for the Fellowship Programme.
