Award amount

3,000 EUR per month for postdocs

Eligibility

Brazilian nationality or permanent residence visa in Brazil; Reside in Brazil (not lived outside Brazil for longer than 12 months at time of application); Doctorate completed no longer than 4 years ago (postdocs) or 12 years ago (experienced researchers); Must have spent no more than 90 days in Germany within the 18 months before application; Must not have been previously sponsored by the Humboldt Foundation

Requirements

Academic publications in journals reviewed according to international standards; Confirmation of research facilities and mentoring agreement from a German host; Detailed expert statement from an academic host in Germany; Language skills: German or English (depending on discipline); Experienced researchers must hold a leadership role

Application materials

PhD diploma; Proof of recognition of foreign diplomas in Brazil; Research outline; Host's confidential statement; Identical applications submitted to both CAPES and the Humboldt Foundation

How to apply

Submit identical applications online to both CAPES and the Humboldt Foundation; Host documents must be submitted only to the Humboldt Foundation; Applicants must email the access link for the application form to their host
