Award amount

3,000 EUR per month for postdocs

Eligibility

Highly-qualified scientists and scholars from all disciplines and countries; Postdocs: up to 4 years after doctorate; Experienced researchers: up to 12 years after doctorate; Must have spent no more than 90 days in Germany within the 18 months prior to application; Not previously sponsored by the Humboldt Foundation via research fellowship or award; German citizens must have resided and worked abroad for at least 5 years

Requirements

Doctorate or comparable degree; Academic publications in internationally reviewed journals; Confirmed research facilities and mentoring agreement from a German host; Two expert reviews from collaborative partners or academics; Language skills: German or English depending on discipline; Experienced researchers must hold a leadership role
