Eligibility

Must be completing a dissertation in the field of Jewish Studies; Must be a current member of the AJS at the time of application; Must have completed all requirements of the PhD except the dissertation (ABD status) by the application deadline; Dissertation must be in English (citations in other languages require translations); Recipients may not receive total grant support in excess of $33,000 during the fellowship year

CV; Dissertation Proposal; Dissertation Table of Contents; Two Dissertation Chapters (one of which should not be the introduction, conclusion, or literature review); One-page timeline for completion and defense by June 30, 2027; Bibliography (2–3 pages)
