Eligibility
Must be an AIPS individual member in good standing at the time of application and throughout the tenure of the grant; Review committee may prioritize applicants who have not received an AIPS fellowship in the past two years; Fellowship awards cannot be used to replace salary; Postdoctoral (Senior) applicants: US citizens can research in Pakistan (Islamabad/Lahore) or other countries (excluding US); Non-US citizens can research in Pakistan or other...; Predoctoral (Junior) applicants: Must have completed all PhD requirements except dissertation; research can be conducted in Pakistan or other countries (excluding US)
Requirements
Research duration must be at least 2 months and less than 9 months; Fellowships must be completed in one trip with no breaks; Fellows conducting research in Islamabad and Lahore are expected to stay in AIPS guesthouses; Spouses and dependents cannot travel with fellows to Pakistan; Must follow AIPS travel restrictions and State Department travel warnings
