Eligibility
Must hold a post-baccalaureate PhD or equivalent, or a doctoral-level clinical degree (MD, DO, DVM, PharMD, DDS, DPh, etc.); Must not be pursuing a doctoral degree at time of activation; No more than five years of research training or experience since obtaining doctoral degree; Must be AHA Professional Member at time of submission; Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or hold specific eligible visa types (E-3, F-1, G-4, H1-B, J-1, O-1, TN, or DACA); Must be based at a U.S. non-profit institution
Requirements
Must devote at least 80% of full-time work to research; Must have a research mentor; Must submit a 5-page research proposal; Must obtain three letters of reference; Must not be of faculty rank
