Award amount

Up to $140,000 over 2 years ($56,000 salary per year and $14,000 institutional allowance per year)

Eligibility

Investigators who have received a Ph.D., M.D., or other doctoral degree within the preceding six years; No more than three years of fellowship support; Must be from an academic discipline; Proposed study must have an essential focus on suicide or suicide prevention

Requirements

At least one suicide outcome measure must be included in all grant projects; New grantees must begin studies within 6 months of the approved start date; Grant applications are not accepted from for-profit organizations or federal/state government agencies (Veterans Administration is eligible)
