Currently enrolled in a graduate program, or accepted to begin one, no later than October 15 of the year in which they are nominated; Pursuing a graduate degree (Master’s, PhD, or equivalent) in computational or data science; Less than halfway through planned program of study; A woman and/or a member of a racial/ethnic group that is currently underrepresented in the computing field in the country where the student will earn the degree; Nominator must be the candidate’s current graduate research advisor; Only one student per academic department may be nominated
Requirements
Nominator must coordinate with the head of the academic department; Candidate must provide contact information for an endorser (current or former instructor, project supervisor, or employer); Nominator, candidate, and endorser must each submit required materials in sequence via the online system; Officers of ACM and members of the Fellowship Selection Committee are ineligible to serve as nominators or endorsers

Nominator: Details about degree program, financial information, explanation of program qualification, diversity statement (300 chars), and nomination statement (1 page); Candidate: Motivation statement (500 chars), PDF CV, and endorser contact information; Endorser: Statement of candidate's abilities, self-motivation, and achievements (1000 chars)

Nominators begin the process at the online submission form; System automatically contacts the candidate once the nomination is submitted; System automatically contacts the endorser once the candidate submits their information; Suggested submission deadline for nominators: April 10; Suggested submission deadline for candidates: April 15
