Eligibility
Open to candidates from any country; Students must be in a degree program that includes at least one year of in-person, directed research; Program must result in a dissertation or thesis; Preference given to students in their first or second year of study; Students must be less than halfway through their proposed plan of study as of August; Underrepresented racial/ethnic groups in computing (as defined by country/university) are eligible
Requirements
No ACM or SIGHPC membership required; Advisor may nominate only one candidate; Nominator must be the student's research advisor; Endorser must be someone other than the research advisor who knows the student's work
Application materials
Nomination form submitted by research advisor; Endorsement from a qualified individual
How to apply
Research advisor initiates the process via the online nomination link; System sends automated emails to the student and endorser to complete their respective portions
