Professional commitment and currently engaged in work in the discipline; Commercially published work between January 1, 2019, and November 15, 2025; Fiction/Nonfiction: A novel, novella, volume of creative nonfiction, or volume of short fiction/stories; Poetry: A volume of forty-eight or more pages of poetry
Requirements
Self-published books are not eligible; Work published in a publication where the applicant is editor, publisher, or staff is not eligible; Work published by vanity presses or non-competitive presses is not eligible
Application materials
Completed online application form; Current résumé/curriculum vitae; One-page project proposal; Up to three writing samples (totaling no more than twenty pages); Contact information for three references; Application fee
How to apply
Submit online application via the provided portal; Upload required digital files; Pay application fee via credit card or mail check/money order to the New York office; Mail hardcopy materials (if applicable) postmarked by November 15
