A&WMA Master Thesis Award 2026 Guidelines

Eligibility
Nominations must be made by faculty advisors who are members of A&WMA; Self-nominations by students are not accepted; Thesis must make a significant contribution to air quality, waste, or sustainability/management fields; Degree must have been awarded between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025
Requirements
Faculty advisors are limited to one nomination per year; Nomination must be submitted electronically as a PDF
Application materials
Completed Nomination Form; Cover letter from the advisor describing the advisee's intellectual contributions and degree completion date; Nominee's résumé; Copy of the complete thesis
How to apply
Prepare a nomination package containing the form, cover letter, résumé, and thesis; Submit the package electronically as a PDF to rlebovitz@awma.org by the deadline
Important dates
January 14, 2026: Submission deadline at 1:00pm ET; June 21-24, 2026: Award presentation at the Annual Conference & Exhibition in Austin, Texas
