- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport
- former citizens of the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan must present a valid passport or citizenship documents dating from before April 30, 2021, along with proof of cancellation of Chinese nationality.
- Mainland Chinese applicants holding a P.R.C. passport are eligible if currently enrolled as undergraduates at a Mainland Chinese university.
- Must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in any field, or be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program and on track to graduate no later than August 31, 2027.
- Students cannot be enrolled in other degree programs while studying at Peking University.

- Applicants from Partner Universities must apply through their home institution's internal pre-selection process prior to submitting to Yenching Academy.
- English proficiency minimum scores: IELTS 7.0, TOEFL iBT 100, Cambridge Advanced 185, CET 6 600, or TEM 4 pass level '良好'.
