Barry Goldwater Scholarship
Scholarship supporting college sophomores and juniors who plan to pursue research careers in the natural sciences, mathematics, or engineering.

- Up to $7,500 per academic year toward tuition, mandatory fees, books, and housing and meals.
- Up to two years of support (four semesters) for sophomores, or up to one year (two semesters) for juniors, or until graduation.

- Currently or previously matriculated sophomore or junior at an accredited 2-year or 4-year U.S. institution, enrolled full-time during terms receiving scholarship support.
- Intention to pursue a research career in a natural science, mathematics, or engineering.
- College grade-point average of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
- Institutional nomination through a Campus Representative.
- Online questionnaire covering background, career goals, research activities, coursework, and recognitions.
- Three-page research essay on a research project completed, in progress, or proposed.
- Three letters of recommendation.
- Official or unofficial transcripts from every institution whose grades count toward cumulative GPA.
- Copy of Permanent Resident Card (for permanent residents only).
